Challenge: CLFF Wave 22: Lex plays a joke on Clark

Notes: I am quite sure, but this might be the last time I write for the CLFF. I have too much other stuff to do and always put the story off to the last minute. Plus, I have simple lost interest in Smallville in general. I still love Clex, but I have not read any fics since the last wave, and watched only about 3 episodes of the past season.

Disclaimer: not mine.

Summary: It’s April 1st, and not quite a kidnapping.

Lex looked around at the mess that was his office. There was enough stuff knocked off the shelves, and out of place to make it appear as if a struggle had taken place in the room. With the added bonus of not looking like it had been staged.

Placing a single sheet of paper, with a type written note, on the desk was the final step.

With one final glance around the office, Lex left the room, and soon the castle itself.

Clark walked quickly down the long hallway to his lover’s office.

A large grin graced his features. His chores for the day were all done, and Clark knew that Lex had organized his work so he would have the day free.  The two of them planned to have the whole day to themselves. And Clark hoped for them to spend most of it in bed.

Having finally reached his destination, Clark stepped through the open doors.

            And froze.

Lex’s office was a mess. Books were pulled off the shelves, papers scattered across the floor, and Lex’s desk chair was lying on its back.

            “Lex! LEX!”

Frantically moving through the room, Clark searched for his lover. But there was no sign of the billionaire.

Standing by the desk, Clark felt fear and worry for Lex surging within him. That’s when he noticed the piece of paper resting on the desk.

            Mr. Kent,

I know what you can do. I would like for you to join me, and

I knew the only way you would is with the right motivation. So, I’ve

taken the liberty of kidnapping your lover.

If you want him back, go to the cabin in the woods about a

             mile north of Crater Lake.

You might want to move quickly. Who knows what will happen

to Lex if I get bored.

                                                                                    X

Clark was out of the castle and heading towards the cabin before the paper once more came to a rest on the desk.

A smile adorned Lex’s lips. Everything was ready.

He climbed onto the large bed, settling himself in the middle.

“Now! All I need is Clark.”

The trees rushed past Clark in a green and brown blur. He pushed himself, moving as fast as he could. He had to get to Lex. Clark knew he would never be able to forgive himself if Lex got hurt because of him and his abilities.

Soon the cabin came into sight, and Clark slowed to a stop.

There was nobody in sight, and a quick glance with his x-ray vision showed only one, familiar, skeleton inside the cabin.

Even though he knew he could be walking into a trap, Clark didn’t care. He just want Lex safe in his arms.

With a quick burst of speed, Clark crashed through the thick cedar door.

And for the second time that day, froze on the spot.

There was no trap. In fact, from the look of it, there was no kidnapping. At one end of the cabin was a table covered in fruit, cheeses, desserts, and many other snacks and drinks. Another corner had a stereo, pouring classical music from several speakers around the room. And, Lex himself lay, completely naked, in the middle of a king size bed at the center of the room.

“What?” Was all Clark could get out.

“Umm. April Fools!?” Lex said, wide-eyed.

“A joke! It was all a JOKE!”

“I wanted it to be a surprise.” Lex stood, wrapping a blue, silk robe around his slim, pale body. He hurried over to the distraught Clark.

Once Lex was in reach, Clark pulled his lover to his body, holding tight.

“I thought you were going to be hurt.” Clark whispered. “Please. Don’t do that again.”

“I won’t. I promise.” Lex held back just as tightly, as Clark buried his head in Lex’s shoulder.

The two were still standing there when an idea came to Clark.

Ina quick burst of speed, Clark’s clothes and Lex’s robe were gone, and Clark was blanketing Lex on the bed.

            “Woah!”

“Since you played such a cruel joke on me, and caused me to worry…”

“It’s April 1st. I was just having some fun.” Lex interrupted.

“Ah.” Clark put a finger to Lex’s lips, silencing him.

“As I was saying.” Clark smirked. “You had your fun, now I’m going to have mine. And you are not going to argue.”

With that, Clark ground his lower body against Lex’s.

“Wouldn’t dream of it.” Lex smirked back.

            Then they kissed.
