Challenge: This is for the newest Clex Fest, the prompt this time was ‘Gossip’

Summary: Did you ever wonder how Lex ended up being exiled to Smallville in the first place?  Without that exile we would never have had all the wonderful Clex that followed.  Here’s a possible reason why.

Begin Transmission for Late Edition:

Hey guys and gals, Cat Grant here for Metropolis After Dark.  Rumor has it that a certain young billionaire around town was seen in the wee hours of the morning yesterday sneaking out of the hotel room of another certain bad boy from Gotham.  Well, guess what?  It’s true.

Our very own staff reporter happened to be stationed at the Grand last night covering the comings and the goings after the Harlequin Charity Ball.  He was just in time to snap the wonderful pix accompanying this article.  Look at that body, kiddies.  Isn’t that to die for?  Even caught off guard, and trying to slip away into the night, he is such a lovely lad.

We caught up with him earlier today at Lucian’s where he was having a very late breakfast indeed.  When asked for comment, our bad boy’s succinct remark to this reporter was for us to ‘F**k off, b***h’!

Lexy, Lexy…Did we happen to hit a nerve, dear boy?

Daddy Dearest, of course, said ‘No Comment’ when queried about his opinion of Sexy Lexy’s latest extra-curricular activities.  An interesting thing to note: it appears that his heir apparent will soon be leaving our fair city for a new job in, of all places, Smallville, KS.

People in the know at LuthorCorp have told me that he’s being exiled to the boonies, at a place our source said doesn’t smell too sweet, until things die down.  Or until dear, sweet Brucie finds new conquests to pursue; whichever comes first.

Lexy, sweetie, make nice with Daddy soon as you can.  Believe me, cutie, this town will be a very dull place indeed without our own Dark Prince.

Well, kiddies, this is Cat Grant signing off.  Until next time, remember what I always say; be good or be caught.

End Transmission
